KEEP YOUR BODY FREE OF TOXINS!
We will never be able to clean our environment from the mess we have made. BUT we may be able to make it better. The only thing is that there are toxins and chemicals everywhere. Even if there was a sudden worldwide ban on all toxic chemicals, the residue would remain around for decades. Since we cannot completely remove toxins from our environment, nor can we completely avoid them in our everyday life, we must learn to deal with them best we can We can do this by making sensible lifestyle choices and using periodic detoxification methods.
OPTIMAL HEALTH AND VITALITY FACT SHEET:
A proper diet includes carbohydrates, protein and fat in the correct ratio and from the right sources. A proper balance of these three maintains a healthy, slim and well-functioning body. It is important, however, to get or food in it’s most natural state.
Remember Mother Nature did not put rivers of diet soda on earth!
What to avoid to keep the body free of toxins
Drink less soda and coffee.
Limit intake of sugar such as candy, chocolate, cookies, syrup, jelly, desserts, pastries, donuts and other sweets
Cut down on alcohol consumption!
Avoid high fat and junk foods. Limit intake of beef and pork to once a week.
Avoid toppings and condiments like butter, margarine, cream, non-diary creamers, salad dressings, gravy and sauces.
Avoid gluten, wheat, yeast and white flours.
Eliminate salt at the table and in cooking.
Cut back convenience foods such as dried soup mixes, pizza, hotdogs and hamburgers.
Avoid all processed meats and foods as these contain many chemicals and preservatives that can cause congestion.
Avoid smoking! It makes the body very sluggish and prevents the absorption of vitamin C.
What to eat to keep the body at its peak
Eat a well-balanced diet including plenty of roughage such as fresh fruit and vegetables.
Drink plenty of water, 6-8 glasses a day to flush out any excess toxins and to maintain homeostasis.
Drink low-fat milk, herbal teas, unsweetened fruit and vegetable juices.
Eat more fish, skinless poultry, and non-meat protein sources. Remove visible fat from meat.
Advice and helpful hints to feel your best
Eat small amounts often throughout the day.
Eat slowly and chew food well.
If possible grill, steam, or boil food.
Eat the bulk of calories before 6 PM because metabolism slows in the afternoon and evening hours.
Take a sauna or steam room every week (or even up to 2-3 times a week) to help improve circulation and eliminate toxins.
Brush the body to stimulate the release of toxins from the body and body scrub to exfoliate and eliminate toxins.
Try to implement once a week or month a fruit or vegetable juice day to maintain healthy digestive system.
Keep stress levels down. Take ten minutes of relaxation every day
Exercise 4 times a week to speed up circulation, help flush stubborn toxins, burn fat, firm muscles and smooth the skin. Exercise should be pleasant and fun, never a choice – always a part of life. There are many ways to exercise; remember, it does have to suit your lifestyle. Consult with a fitness professional before undertaking a program.
